Our unique, hands on, Apprentice program is tailored to your specific business goals. All classroom time is customized and devoted to the business of your future dog business.

What ever business goals you have, K9 PROFESSIONAL SPORTS SYSTEMS tailors all classroom time to the management of that business. How to advertise, setting rates, finding clients, everything (except the accounting) you need to know to set up and run your successful company.

The classroom is a great place to learn the ins and outs of your new business, but the best way to learn a new skill like dog training is to DO! At K9PS you will DO. Our unique Apprentice program allows you to hit the ground learning by assigning each apprentice two dogs on the first day. These two, never before seen dogs, will be yours to teach all the basic Obedience skills.

If you want an Agility instructor's company, an Obedience business, whatever your business desire, you will have your first two dogs trained for that job by the time your three week program is over. Your personal dogs will also participate in any training while you are here.

Your Certification is based entirely on your skills and abilities in working with your dog and the dogs assigned you to teach. Your final test will be a hands on demonstration in front of certified judges, that will show an accurate assessment of your skills as a dog trainer.

The nuts and bolts of the apprentice program!

• This is a three week program. All learning is hands on, actual doing, on the training field. All equipment and dogs needed to learn are supplied.
• As this is a hands on learning experience, with dogs supplied, there is a four person limit per session. (There is no kennel cleaning. This is a dog training school not a janitorial school.)
• Cost; $600 per week, housing is additional. Kennel space for your dog is supplied if needed.

Each student has a program customized to their own specific business and dog training interests. But each three week program includes;

• Dog psychology; how and why dogs learn.
• Rewards and Discipline; the foundation for canine communication.
• Required Obedience for today's dog
• Health and physical requirements of the dog.

Each Apprentice will furnish their own business goals to finish out the customized program.
